Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and support our Speech-Language Pathologist in providing high-quality services to individuals with communication disorders in TELEHEALTH and HOMEHEALTH settings. As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, assisting with assessments, therapy sessions, and administrative tasks. Your role will contribute to the improvement of communication skills and overall well-being of our clients.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field is preferred.
Completion of an SLPA training program and minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience.
Experience working with individuals with communication disorders is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and colleagues.
Ability to follow instructions, work under supervision, and implement therapy strategies.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and record keeping.
Proficiency in using relevant technology and software for administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
Support therapy sessions:
Collaborate with the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing therapy activities and interventions.
Help set up therapy materials and equipment.
Assist with data collection and progress monitoring during therapy sessions.
Provide one-on-one assistance to clients:
Work directly with clients under the supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist to support their therapy goals.
Reinforce skills and strategies introduced by the Speech-Language Pathologist during sessions.
Provide feedback and encouragement to clients during therapy activities.
Assist with administrative tasks:
Maintain accurate and organized client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and documentation of therapy sessions.
Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination.
Help with the preparation and organization of therapy materials and resources.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team:
Communicate and collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers, occupational therapists, and parents, to support clients' overall development.
Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress, goals, and strategies.
Stay updated on relevant training and professional development:
Engage in professional development activities, workshops, and trainings to expand knowledge and enhance skills in the field of speech-language pathology.
Seek guidance and feedback from the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to support your professional growth as an SLPA.
